DriveBC issuing travel advisory for Highway 97

PRINCE GEORGE — The winter storm that’s affecting the B.C. Interior has led to DriveBC recommending drivers to travel with caution.

A travel advisory has been issued on highway 97 between Finning road and Olson road. Due to the heavy snow and strong winds hitting the area, DriveBC is asking drivers to expect rapidly changing conditions and to consider delaying any travel plans due to the limited visibility on the roads.

according to Environment Canada, Prince George is expected to see 10 to 15 centimeters of snow Saturday night (Feb.25) and into Sunday morning (Feb.26).
