UNBC Men’s Basketball Season Recap: Young Twolves team look to impress next year
PRINCE GEORGE – The UNBC Men’s basketball team’s season wrapped up a little earlier than expected. However, going into the final playoff game they fought through adversity only having 8 players available. Now the program focuses on next year which sees younger players look to take the next step in their game and the program try and reach an all-new level after achieving some milestones this year.
“This group was able to accomplish some really special things this year. Obviously a historic win for us over UBC early in the year. Then we swept Calgary. Big wins against two real power schools in our conference. Proud of those things and a lot of the positives that we accomplished this year with plenty of positives to take away during the season” – Todd Jordan, Head Coach, Men’s Basketball
With plenty of positives to take away from the schedule another plus for the team is the development of their players. One of those players is Guard Justin Sunga who ended his freshman season in the starting lineup. He believes this Twolves team has a great future ahead and he’s looking forward to this offseason to improve his own game as well.
