Moms Stop the Harm
PRINCE GEORGE – Addiction and substance use problems have ripple effects on others – usually the ones we love the most. Moms Stop the Harm is a network created to support families with loved ones who use or used substances. The network has expanded in the north with the efforts of a resident of the Fort St James area.
Sam Felix’s sister died over a year ago from a drug overdose. She was her sister’s biggest supporter. And now that she’s gone, she’s hoping to support others going through the same challenges.
“They helped me by processing my grief at my own pace. I was able to open up when I wanted to, and I shared my story in the way that I wanted to. They were there to listen, and they gave me guidance.”
