Spruce Kings eliminated from the playoffs in double overtime

PRINCE GEORGE –With their backs against the wall, the Spruce Kings left it all out on the ice taking game 4 into double overtime Wednesday night. Their fight fell short in a 2-1 loss to the visiting the Salmon Arm Silverbacks, sweeping the Spruce Kings and advancing to the second round of the BCHL Playoffs.

Game 4 turned out to be a battle of the goalies . Jordan Fairlie turned aside 47 of 49 shots for Prince George in what would be his final game of junior hockey. Evan Fedele scored the lone goal for the Spruce Kings .
