PRINCE GEORGE — Flooding has forced the closure of some popular areas in the city.

Paddlewheel park, Cottonwood island and the Heritage River Trail from Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park at Taylor Drive to Cottonwood Island Park are all closed until further notice.

This following a week of high temperatures followed with rain over the weekend.

Residents are asked to stay away from riverbanks, creeks, and fast-flowing bodies of water as they are extremely dangerous.
