Four people found deceased in Prince Rupert home; RCMP investigating homicide

PRINCE RUPERT — Update: Multiple sources have told Global BC that a couple and their two children were the ones found deceased. Chris Duong and his partner Janet Nguyen were reportedly well known in the community.

Earlier: RCMP in Prince Rupert are in the early stages of a homicide investigation after four people were found deceased in a home.

On Tuesday, June 13, at 9:00 pm, Prince Rupert RCMP responded to a report of four individuals being found deceased in a home on the 100 block of Silversides Drive.

Police are in the early stages of a homicide investigation and at this time there are no outstanding suspects, and also believe there is no further risk to the public.

Media Relations Cst. Brody Hemrich said that Prince Rupert RCMP is “currently working alongside Major Crimes to conduct a thorough investigation and that no names of the individuals will be released at this time.”
