PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George-Mackenzie BC United MLA Mike Morris has been awarded the Past Presidents’ Canadian Legislator Award.
Presented by the Canadian Wildlife Federation, the organization describe Morris as a champion for science-based conservation and sustainable stewardship and as a voice for wildlife and the people who care for them.
Among his work in this field, Morris conducted a comprehensive review of wildlife habitat which led to a 2015 report called Getting the Balance Right.
In 2020, he published a forest policy paper based on the five decades of land use analysis.
