Legion donates $20k to cardiac care in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — After a very successful poppy campaign, Legion 43 in Prince George have announced a sizeable donation of $20k to cardiac care.

Every year proceeds raised from the poppy campaign are donated to a cause to support veterans in our community.

This year those in charge decided a donation was in order to cardiac care services in Prince George at the University Hospital of Northern BC. Organizers say this will directly benefit veterans who seek care in our community.

The donation was made through the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation.
