19-year-old driver nabbed going 187 km/h
PRINCE GEORGE — A 19-year-old Prince George resident faces a stiff fine after they were clocked at a speed of 187 km/hr in a 90 km/hr zone.
It happened June 17 on Highway 97 north of Prince George.
“The vehicle was stopped and the driver, a 19-year-old Prince George resident with a Novice drivers’ license was issued a $483 violation ticket for excessive speed and $109 violation ticket for failing to display their N sign. The vehicle was impounded for a period of seven days,” says Cpl. Serge Bruneau of BC Highway Patrol.
“BC Highway Patrol Prince George would like to remind the motoring public to slow down and follow the rules of the road. The actions of this driver was reckless and dangerous and could have resulted in a fatality.”
