Sam Raphael added to T-Wolves Wall of Honour

PRINCE GEORGE — UNBC Men’s Basketball great Sam Raphael has been named to the Timberwolves Wall of Honour.

Raphael made the jump from Duchess Park Secondary to his hometown Timberwolves prior to the 2008-2009 BCAA campaign and averaged 6.7 points and four rebounds per grame.

In 2009-2010 he upped his game, averaging 7.8 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.9 assists, helping his team to claim the BCAA Provincial Championship and the 2010 CCAA National Championship.

In the 2010-2011 campaign, he averaged 7.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists as the team advanced to the BCAA Provincial Championship game.

In perhaps his best season, the 2011-2012 season, Raphael averaged 12.2 points per game, good for top-20 in the league, to along with 3.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.

That year, the T-Wolves beat Vancouver Island University 69-61 to claim the second provincial banner in program history.

And in 2012-2013, he averaged 14.4 points per game, along with 4.5 rebounds, and 1.3 assists.
