Evacuation Order issued for the Parrot Lookout Wildfire

PRINCE GEORGE — An Evacuation Order has been issued by Wet’suwet’en First Nation, Skin Tyee Nation and the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako.
All properties and lands on the north side of Francois Lake, accessed off Colleymount Road (including all local roads), between Trout Creek Road, and the west end of Francois Lake must be evacuated immediately. Francois Lake is located 40 kilometers south of Burns Lake.
According to a news release, the district says residents are also required to register at the Reception Centre at the Village of Burns Lake Multiplex at 103 Flogum Street, Burns Lake or contact the Emergency Support Services Director at (250) 692-9901
Individuals who need transportation assistance from the area should call the Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako at (250) 692-1553.
