PRINCE GEORGE — Two new exhibits have arrived at the Two Rivers Gallery.

The first is Nonreturnables, a group exhibition showcasing works from artists throughout BC who explores human’s relationship with plastic. The gallery says this exhibition provokes its viewers to consider critiques, solutions, and reimaginings of plastic. Visitors will see disposable bags turned into tapestries and much more. The exhibition includes work by eight artists: Gwenyth Chao, Anna Gustafson, Hildur Jónasson, Desirée Patterson, Mima Preston, Sylvie Roussel-Janssens, Clare Thomas, and Carlyn Yandle.

The second exhibition is Dismantled Worlds by Jude Griebel. His work ranges from towering sculptures to sprawling dioramas. Two of the works featured in this exhibition are being shown for the very first time, having been completed a few months ago. Acting Curator Kait Herlehy said that “conversations about climate change can feel heavy and discouraging, and Jude Griebel’s work makes the topic feel a little more playful and approachable.”

Both exhibits opened on Friday, July 28 and will run until October 8.
