14th Annual Commonwealth Cup raises over $98,000 for Hospice
PRINCE GEORGE– The 14th Annual Commonwealth Cup, held on July 18th, 2023, was a record-breaking success – raising $98,601 (net proceeds) for Hospice. Since its inception, The Commonwealth Cup has raised over $600,000 for Northern Charities.
“We are thrilled with this year’s tournament – an overwhelming success,” said Dan McLaren, Chairman. “We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended, supported, and volunteered for making this year’s tournament such a record-breaking achievement.”
“We are honored to once again be the recipient of the Commonwealth Cup proceeds. The funds will go towards our Home Hospice Program which allows people to have hospice care in the comfort of their own home. Thank you to all those who have organized and supported the tournament.” said Donna Flood, Executive Director, Prince George Hospice Palliative Care Society. $10,000 will also be provided to assist Canuck Place – a renowned children’s hospice in Vancouver, BC.
Next Year’s Tournament will take place on July 16, 2024, at Aberdeen Glen. It will mark the 15th Annual Commonwealth Cup.
