Prince George couple headed to Korea following lotto win

PRINCE GEORGE — A Korean couple living in Prince George are headed to Korea after they matched 5/6+ numbers from the June 17, 2023 draw, netting them $139,000.

Myung and Jin Kim bought the ticket at Walmart in Prince George and say it crosses off a major bucket list item.

“I saw there was a winner in Prince George and I asked my wife to check the ticket and tell me the numbers,” Jin recalled. “We saw the winning numbers and discovered we matched them. My wife was very happy.”

The Prince George residents plan to celebrate their windfall with some wine and said it feels “unbelievable” to win.
