Work on Shane Creek Bridge replacement to be delayed another two to four weeks
PRINCE GEORGE — Work on the $1.2 million dollar Shane Creek Bridge Deck resurfacing project on University Way will last an extra two to four weeks.
The City blames the delay on further deficiencies that have been identified since the work started. Those include some deficiencies in the concrete sub-structure that need to be repaired before the new deck can be placed on.
The project is expected to remain within the budget. Last month, the City expected work to be completed by September 15. The city apologies for the delay but says they appreciate everyone’s understanding.
During the work period, University Way is closed between Foothills Boulevard and the entrance of the university. The university entrance is still accessible via Tyner Boulevard.
