Local tap dancer needs your help to get to Prague

Prince George – A big win in Edmonton has led to big things for Abby Travers. The Prince George tap dancer tapped her way into an invitation to Prague for a dance competition and when she got the news, it was extremely surprising.

“[Announcing that I’m] Europe made me think that they were just lying to me or something. But, I’m really excited right now.”

She secured her spot on a plane to Europe. The only issue is, that she doesn’t have enough fundraised to make it there.

“Abby got this amazing opportunity to go to Prague. It’s going to cost upwards of $10,000. When we look at the travel to Vancouver to actually train for the dance competition. There are five or six trips to Vancouver. There are the actual dance fees, there’s cost of fees, the flights to Prague, the actual stay in Prague, and the food. And we really wanted to make this opportunity happen.”
