Cougars and Kings lose pre-season opener

PRINCE GEORGE – The pre-season started on the road for both Prince George Cougars and Spruce Kings.

The Cougars, who lost 8-4 to the Vancouver Giants yesterday, will face the Victoria Royals tonight. “It was good to get the young guys in our lineup and see what the pace was like for them. All in all, we were happy with the work ethic, just some details need to be cleaned up,” said Assistant Coach Carter Rigby.

The Spruce Kings will also try their first win tonight when they play against the Langley Rivermen. They lost 2-1 to the Chilliwack Chiefs last night.
