PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George RCMP say two recent drug busts have taken over 200 grams of illicit drugs and a large quantity of cash off the streets.

The first bust occurred shortly before noon on September 16, when RCMP were investigating a break-and-enter into a fenced compound on the 600-block of Third Avenue.

“Three people were located inside the compound and detained,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper. “During the investigation, police officers seized more than $700 in cash as well as a combined total of more than 50 grams of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine and cocaine. They also seized a prohibited firearm that was located abandoned nearby. The three suspects were released pending further investigation.”

Cooper says two days later, on September 18, just before 9 a.m., an officer on a routine patrol located a vehicle speeding, hading southbound on Highway 97 North by the scales.
