UBC Thunderbirds defeat UNBC Timberwolves

VANCOUVER — The UBC Thunderbirds women’s soccer team won by a margin against the UNBC Timberwolves, 6-0, on Friday (Oct 6) in Vancouver, BC.

Katalin Tolnai scored a hat trick, while Jade Taylor-Ryan, Sophia Damian, and Vanessa Tome each scored a goal for UBC. Hinsche made seven saves in the game, increasing her total number of stops this season to 93. Avery Nystedt was recognized as the Earls Road Warrior of the Game for her courageous and consistent defence.

The two teams will face each other again today(Oct 7) at 5 p.m. in Vancouver.
