Timberwolves soccer teams in action this weekend

PRINCE GEORGE – The UNBC Timberwolves men and women’s soccer team are both busy this weekend.

Michael Henman lead the men’s team to a 3-1 victory last night (Oct. 13), when they hosted the Fraser Valley Cascades at Masich Place Stadium, with a goal and two assists. Charlie Stewart and Greg Smith also scored for the TWolves.

The women weren’t so lucky. Kambria Mellum scored her second goal of the season, but it wasn’t enough to secure the victory, when they lost 3-1 against the visiting OBC Okanagan Heat. The Heat finished the match with 16 shots on target while UNBC countered with three.

The men will now play the Cascades once again on Sunday, while the women will face the Thompson Rivers WolfPack for their final home game of the 2023 Canada West season.
