Cougars stage late third period comeback to beat Tigers

PRINCE GEORGE — Bauer Dumanski scored the game-winning goal at the 18:43 mark of the third period to lead the Prince George Cougars to a 7-5 win over the visiting Medicine Hat Tigers Sunday night before 5,628 fans at CN Centre.

Terik Parascak and Ondrej Becher added two goals apiece while Hudson Thornton and Riley Heidt had the other goals. Riley Heidt led the way in scoring with a goal and four assists.

The Cougars outshot their visitors 32-28 with Ty Young picking up the win.

Prince George is now in first place in the Western Conference, sporting a 9-3 record. From here, the Cats kick off a five-game road trip Saturday in Moose Jaw.
