Environment Canada calling for snow on Yellowhead Highway

PRINCE GEORGE — Motorists beware if you plan on using Highway 16 East.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Yellowhead Highway with five cenimetres in the forecast between Tete Jaune Cache to the Alberta border.

Environment Canada blames it on a slow moving arctic front with snow continuing through Monday evening.

“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations,” says Environment Canada.
