LANGLEY — The Prince George Cougars delivered an impressive performance on Saturday (Dec. 16) at the Langley Events Centre, beating the Vancouver Giants 9-2.

Prince George opened up the scoreboard in the seventh minute of the first period with a goal from Riley Heidt, who scored again seven minutes later. Tyson Buczkowski and Zac Funk would also score a goal each, delivering a critical blow to Vancouver’s morale and finishing the period 4-0.

The Giants would attempt to get back in the game by scoring two goals in the second period. However, Carlin Dezainde, Oren Shtrom and Hudson Thornton soon crumbled any chances for a comeback by scoring a goal each.

The onslaught didn’t end there, as Terik Parascak and Arjun Bawa added two more goals to the scoreboard in the third period, outclassing the Giants 9-2.
