PG Fire Rescue respond to debris fire in BCR site

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue was kept busy Sunday night responding to a debris fire at the BCR Site.

It broke out at approximately 4 p.m. at the Stella-Jones site at 7177 Pacific Street.

“The fire was approximately 100 x 50 feet in diameter with flames 40-50 feet in height and visible from many parts of the city,” reads a City of Prince George news release. “Two apparatus and four firefighters were part of the initial response, and later assisted by two more apparatus and five more firefighters.”

The fire wasn’t out as of 9:30 p.m. Sunday night and the City says there was no risk to the public.
