RCMP investigate Spruce Street shooting

PRINCE GEORGE—On Tuesday, January 2, one female victim received non-life-threatening injuries from a shooting that occurred at a commercial dwelling unit on the 2700-block of Spruce Street shortly before 4:45 a.m.

The woman was transported to hospital by Emergency Health Services for treatment of her injuries. RCMP report several other people were located in the room she was found in uninjured.

“Investigators were able to identify several suspects and a suspect vehicle from the video surveillance available and within an hour multiple suspects were arrested at a residence on the 100-block of Anderson Street. Police officers will remain at that location as the investigation continues. We believe this to be a targeted shooting with no increased risk to the general public,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

The investigation is ongoing.
