Police arrest suspect in graffiti investigation
PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George RCMP has arrested a suspect in a graffiti incident that occurred on Saturday (March 2) at approximately 2 a.m. According to a news release, frontline officers were patrolling in the downtown area when they observed fresh graffiti on a building on the 1500-block of Third Avenue.
“After speaking with an on-duty security guard, police developed a description of the suspect and were able to locate him a short distance away from the location,” stated Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP. “The suspect was arrested and subsequently released on an Undertaking with a future court date.” Still according to Cpl. Cooper, the suspect in not known to police.
RCMP also stated the messaging centered around the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the owner of the building was made aware of the graffiti.
