Funk nets 60th, Cougars vanquish visiting Giants

PRINCE GEORGE — Terik Parascak recorded two goals and five points for the Prince George Cougars in a 5-3 victory over the visiting Vancouver Giants on Friday (March 8) in WHL action at CN Centre.

Leading Canadian Hockey League goal scorer Zac Funk tallied his 60th and 61st goals of the campaign in support of goaltender Joshua Ravensbergen, who made 30 saves to pick up the victory between the pipes.

Funk is the first 60-goal scorer in Cougars’ history.

The Cougars (42-15-1-3) have points in 12 straight games and sit atop Western Conference standings, with a one-point lead on the Portland Winterhawks (42-15-2-1) and seven games remaining on their regular-season schedule.
