Cats claw out overtime win in Kelowna

KELOWNA, B.C. – Hudson Thornton scored 4:14 into overtime as the Prince George Cougars edged the Kelowna Rockets 6-5 on Wednesday in Western Hockey League action.

Oren Shtrom, Borya Valis, Terik Parascak, Hudson Thornton, Matteo Danis and Zac Funk all scored in regulation time for Prince George (43-15-4).

Joshua Ravensbergen started in net for the Cougars, making 13 of 18 shots before being replaced by Ty Young who stopped all five shots he faced.

With the win, the Cougars improved their point streak to 14 games,which ties a franchise record.
