PRINCE GEORGE – “Do you want to live in a country where the only young Canadians who can buy their own homes are those with parents who can help with the down payment?”

That was federal Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland during the budget debate yesterday. And that’s where the federal NDP says the budget meets the mark, according to the MP for Skeena-Bulkley Valley.

“There’s a national school food program for the first time in our history. Canada is the only G7 country that doesn’t have a national school food program. There is a commitment to pharmacare that will see diabetes, medication and devices and contraception for every Canadian. These are really important programs that we’ve invested a lot of energy over the years in trying to get.”
