Real Estate experts say housing market “very affordable,” but not everyone’s convinced
PRINCE GEORGE – Community members aren’t buying what the BC Northern Real Estate Board (BCNREB) is selling, as the Board says “home ownership in northern British Columbia remains very affordable,” despite prices skyrocketing over the last couple of years.
“It’s becoming increasingly hard for new families or new people in these communities to get homes, to buy homes, so I just don’t see how they can claim that things are still affordable up here. I don’t think I’ll be able to become a homeowner. Not in this market,” said recent UNBC graduate Will Hanlon.
