Miracle On Third A Hit

PRINCE GEORGE – Yesterday was the first “Miracle on Third” event and what a great day it was! With the help of many, the one-day event raised $7,639.82 in cash and gift cards and donations filled a 16’ x 8’ cargo trailer.
All of it is going to the Elizabeth Fry Society to help with the various programs they offer to women and children in need.

“I thought it was an overwhelming success,” says Penny Cartwright, Promotions Director. “We had no expectations going into it, being the first year. But as soon as that trailer was getting loaded taller and wider, and when we got the tally this morning of over $7,600, you couldn’t wipe the smile off my face.”
 
Cartwright says there may even be plans to do something similar next summer. Stay tuned and a big thanks to the community and the event sponsors.
