Cougars excited about prospects selected in 2024 WHL Draft
PRINCE GEORGE — Yesterday the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft took place. The Prince George Cougars made ten total selections taking five forwards, four defensemen, and one goalie.
Dade Wotherspoon was the first name the Prince George Cougars announced taking the Martensville, Saskatchewan product 21st Overall. Wotherspoon lit up the SAAHL last year recording 53 Goals and 103 total points in just 27 Games with the Marauders Under-15 AA team.
Eight of the team’s ten picks came in the 4th round or later, however, like every draft class, there are a couple of diamonds in the rough. Terik Parascak, Ehpram McNut, and Ty Young were all taken in the 4th round or later and have contributed to the Cougars, The hope is that they find a few players in this year’s class that can make an impact on this team in the future.
