UNBC Timberwhales swimming their way to Nationals
PRINCE GEORGE — This weekend is a big one for the UNBC Timberwhales. As they put the final touches on their game before 15 athletes head to Vancouver to compete in the 2024 Canadian Underwater Hockey Nationals.
The Timberwhales will match up against ten other teams at the UBC Aquatic Centre. They are scheduled to play the games over two days. Facing teams with multiple years of experience.
Now being a first-year club the expectations aren’t too high for the team, but they’ll still want to compete at the best of their ability and try and lay a foundation for the sport of Underwater hockey here in Prince George.
