Council to relook at bus stop relocation near Sikh Temple after close to 300 petition signatures

PRINCE GEORGE– It’s a petition that has gotten around 300 signatures. The Sikh community is concerned about BC Transit relocating a bus stop from Davis Rd onto Ospika Blvd. Moving the stop further away from the Sikh Temple in the process.

BC Transit provided the following statement.

“BC Transit is aware of a petition relating to the future relocation of a specific bus stop on Davis Road in Prince George. As part of a service optimization planned for September to improve reliability and service frequency for routes 88 Westgate/89 Hart, the bus stop in question will be moved approximately 350 metres.”
