PRINCE GEORGE — Local Mounties are calling it another signficant blow to the illicit drug trade in Prince George.

They’re referring to a drug bust that took place on May 14 at the Knights Inn on Dominion Street courtesy the RCMP’s Downtown Safety Unit and the Problem Oriented Policing Team.

Police say a search warrant was executed on two units at that location with RCMP locating a combined total of approximately 125 grams of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine and heroin. They also seized over $4,900 in cash, counterfeit cigarettes, drug trafficking paraphernalia and various weapons.

“This investigation represents another significant blow to the illicit drug trade within Prince George. Police officers will continue to focus their attention on those who are responsible for bringing illicit drugs into our community,” states Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.
