Prince George RCMP hosts annual Torch Run
PRINCE GEORGE— Ahead the 2025 B.C. Special Olympics in Prince George the RCMP hosted their annual Law Enforcement Torch Run. The fundraiser helps support the athletes with intellectual disabilities with training and travel.
“It’s also an opportunity to raise awareness and expose them to some police officers or other people of fire detachment that they wouldn’t normally get a chance to talk to,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper of the Prince George RCMP.
Adrian Rosen, a soccer, ten pin bowling, and club fit athlete says he’s excited to play the B.C. Summer Games at home and the event will need plenty of volunteers to make everything run smoothly. He adds that he loves the comradery of the games and that it allows him to travel to places across the country.
