National Indigenous Peoples Day celebrations take place Friday

PRINCE GEORGE—PRINCE GEORGE— June 21 is Nation Indigenous Peoples Day. To honour and celebrate the culture of the Indigenous people of Canada the Lheidli T’enneh will be hosting a celebration this Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The event will take place on their ancestral lands and historical village site at Lheildi T’enneh Memorial park.

The celebrations will feature a wide variety of Indigenous artisans, musicians, drummers, dancers, all ages activities, Bannock and other food. In addition, there will be interactive information displays
