PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars have reacted to a local report that suggest they are up for sale with a potential to move out of Prince George.

The Cougars say the report was full of untruths saying, “the story published today by the Prince George Citizen, fueled by information provided by an unnamed, anonymous source, is wrought with inaccuracies. The WHL remains the world’s finest development league for junior hockey players, and as such, it regularly receives interest from outside parties looking to invest in and become a part of what we do.”

CKPG News reached out to the Cougars for more information but were unsuccessful.

The Cougars also released their regular season schedule Tuesday (June 25) which kicks off with back-to-back home opening games on September 20, and September 21, against the Spokane Chiefs.
