Spruce Kings’ netminder Wishart solid in exhibition defeat

SOUTH SURREY, B.C. — The hometown Surrey Eagles knocked off the Prince George Spruce Kings 5-2 in B.C. Hockey League exhibition play on Saturday (Sept. 7) in South Surrey.

Linden Makow and Cooper Williams tallied for the Spruce Kings in a losing effort.

Prince George goaltender Carter Wishart stopped all 21 shots he faced and split time in the crease with Ryder Green, who allowed five goals on 21 shots.

The Spruce Kings will twice host Langley next weekend in pre-season action at Kopar Memorial Arena.
