“Without their support, I wouldn’t have made it:” AWAC to be beneficiary of Miracle on Third
PRINCE GEORGE – Pattison Media’s seventh annual Miracle on Third is partnering with the Association Advocating for Women and Community (AWAC). Since launching in 2018, Miracle on Third has raised more than $75,000 for a variety of community organizations, and both Pattison Media and AWAC are excited to fundraise for what many call a lifesaving organization.
“The support I’ve gotten through AWAC, I can’t say enough of how remarkable it is what they did for me. Without their support, I wouldn’t have made it,” said Kim Suel, one of many who went through AWAC’s programs and is currently working at AWAC’s Mark’s Place.
“It’s the best thing that happened to me, saved my life, because I was out here on the streets and everything like that, and I just saw too many people dying and stuff, and I didn’t want to be there anymore. So I jumped on ship and it’s the best thing that happened,” said Gordie Carpenter, who also went through AWAC programs and now works as AWAC’s Maintenance Manager.
