United Way begins fall fundraising season
NORTHERN BC – United Way British Columbia is inviting residents to an exclusive breakfast event on September 12th from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 am at the Coast Prince George Hotel, marking the launch of our fall fundraising campaign and the declaration of United Way BC Day.
It’s a chance to witness first-hand the incredible impact United Way BC has on our communities.
“It gives us a chance to explain Better- at- Home programs to 211 A lot of youth programs, our food insecurity and what we’re doing about it,” explains Lorna Bihori, Campaign Manager for the United Way BC, Northern BC. “So we get to do awareness. They get team activities. We have over 1500 workplaces. We have over 500 companies. Every single one of their campaigns is different. So it’s really partnering with the community, the companies who want to be seen and do good and meet them at their location and how what best serves them.”
