Semi driver ticketed for causing four-vehicle crash on Highway 97 North

PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP say no one was seriously injured in a four-vehicle crash on Highway 97 north Tuesday morning (Sept.17).

Police say just before 6 a.m. a semi trailer truck in the southbound lane crossed the centre line and collided with a second semi trailer truck near the Davie East Forest Service Road.

A pickup truck also travelling southbound and was hit by the northbound semi and ended up in the ditch and another pickup truck travelling northbound was hit by debris.

“Thankfully, no serious injuries were reported in this incident. The two semi-trailer trucks and the first pickup truck were all towed from the scene and the highway was limited to single lane alternating traffic for several hours as investigators collected data and dealt with the damaged vehicles, says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, media relations officer for the Prince George RCMP.
