Truth and Reconciliation Ceremony to be held at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park

Lheidli T’enneh— Monday, September 30, is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. In reflection of that day the Lheidli T’enneh First Nation are inviting everyone to attend the official ceremonies at Lheidli T’enneh Memorial Park.

Schedule of Events:

2:00pm – Elder Traditional Welcome

2:05 pm – Drum in Survivors and inter-generational Survivors

2:15pm – Moment of reflection

2:20pm – Grounding with Darlene McIntosh

2:30pm – Welcome by Chief Logan

2:40pm – Survivor Story

2:50pm – Inter-generational Story and song

3:00pm – Survivor Story

3:10pm – PANEL Story Sharing

3:20pm – Inter-generational Story

3:30pm – start community round dance and jingle dress, pow wow dancers etc.

3:45pm – WE ARE STILL HERE Celebration

Wear orange to honour residential school survivors and to remember the children who never made it home.
