Spruce Kings earn point in shootout loss to visiting Chiefs

The Chilliwack Chiefs edged the Prince George Spruce Kings 3-2 in a shootout in B.C. Hockey League action on Saturday (Oct. 19) at Kopar Memorial Arena.
Brady Milburn and Mateo Mrsic scored in regulation for the Chiefs (7-2-2-0), whose goaltender, Owen Bresson, made 40 saves in regulation and four stops in the shootout to pick up the win between the pipes.
Carter Hesselgrave tallied for the Kings (3-7-1-1) at 17:30 of the third period to tie the game at 2-2 and force overtime.
Brogan McNeil also scored for Prince George in support of goaltender Carter Wishart, who stopped 35 shots in a losing effort.
