CMHA of Northern BC asking for warm clothes donations

PRINCE GEORGE— The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) of Northern BC’s Second Chance Thrift Store is asking for people to dust off their unused winter clothes and donate them to help others stay warm this winter.

Second Chance Thrift Store is located in downtown Prince George and serves as an important resource by offering affordable clothing and household items while supporting their clients’ and volunteers’ mental health. As we head into the negative temperature the CMHA says that there is a critical need for warm clothing items, such as coats, hats, gloves, scarves, and boots.

“We rely on the generosity of the community to help us provide much-needed clothing and support services,” said Elaine Laberge, Executive Director, of CMHA Northern BC. “Every donation helps make a difference in someone’s life, especially during the challenging winter months. We encourage everyone who can to donate their gently used winter clothing.”

Donations can be dropped off at 1152-3rd Avenue, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
