PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars have swung a deal with the Calgary Hitmen.
The Cats have acquired 6’2 defenceman Fraser Leonard (06) in exchange for defenceman Drew Peterson (06) and a 2025 sixth-round pick in the WHL Prospect’s Draft.
Eighteen-year-old Leonard played 59 games with the Hitmen and Saskatoon Blades scoring four goals and adding five assists.
The Cougars say Leonard will wear number 8 and is expected to join the team when they take on the Kamloops Blazers Friday night in Kamloops.
