2024 Business Excellence Awards winners announced

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Chamber of Commerce held the 39th annual Business Excellence Awards Friday night.

Three local businesses each won a pair of awards: Cheeseneeds won two of the three categories it was a finalist in, with Tracey Johnson taking home Business Person of the Year and the Excellence in Customer Service category.

Baller Food’s Kate Hawley won both categories she was a finalist in, capture the Excellence in Food and Beverage and Excellence in Promotion and Marketing categories.

Canadian Tire’s Selen Alpay won the Excellence in Business Philanthropy trophy and also received the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his accomplishments in the Prince George business community and his support of the Prince George Chamber of Commerce.

3 Goblins Games was a finalist in two categories and captured one of the top prizes of the evening, winning the Business of the Year trophy.

The other Business Excellence Awards winners were: Acres Enterprises for Excellence in Technological Innovation; Nechako Ridge Denturist for BIPOC Business of the Year; The Exploration Place for Excellence in Entertainment and Attractions; Prince George Community Foundation for Excellence in Not for Profit and Community Service; and Wall to Wall – Renovate Recycle Restore for Excellence in Environmental Impact

“It was an amazing night to celebrate the very best of the Prince George business community,” Prince George Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Neil Godbout said. “Thank to our generous sponsors and our hosts, Kym Gouchie and Ray Noonan, for making the night so special.”
