PRINCE GEORGE— If you’re wanting to adopt remarkable rabbit then this is the “hopportunity” of a lifetime as the North Cariboo BC SPCA has a black bunny in need of a home.

This bunny was found on Irene road playing underneath a truck with a cat. While that might be the case the SPCA does not know much about it’s history and is unsure about it getting along with other pets.

“We always recommend if you are bringing another animal home with animals in the home, that they be properly introduced and slowly,” explains Isabella McCloy-Andrews, an animal care attendant.

Rabbits can eat vegetables, leafy greens, or pellets. In addition, they will also need up to 80 per cent of their body weight in hay to maintain a health diet.

McCloy-Andrews adds that this rabbit has been handled by people and is very friendly, something that is uncommon among rescues. They also come litter trained.

If you would like to adopt this rabbit you can visit the BC SPCA online or in person.
