Drivers beware: Snowfall warning in Pine Pass

PRINCE GEORGE — Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the Pine Pass.

Fifteen to twenty centimetres of snow is expected to fall by Thursday morning. The snowfall is being attributed to a frontal system moving through northern B.C.

“Rapidly accumulating snow could make travel difficult over some locations. Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions,” reads a statement on Environment Canada’s website.

“Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions. The site shiftintowinter.ca reminds drivers to know before you go. Adjust to winter driving behaviour and use winter tires and chains. Road conditions are available at drivebc.ca.”
