PRINCE GEORGE— The Exploration Place has partnered with Tourism Prince George for their inaugural Merry Morning at the Museum. This festive event takes place on December 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and children can get in free.

“A Merry Morning at the Museum represents what we’re all about—bringing families together to create meaningful experiences,” said Alyssa Leier, Executive Director of The Exploration Place. “Thanks to the incredible support of Tourism Prince George, we’re able to make this event more accessible to families and showcase the spirit of community collaboration.”

The Exploration Place says the event will transform their centre into a festive wonderland filled with delicious food, retro toys, and exciting holiday activities. To add to the excitement, The Exploration Place has confirmed via a press release that both Mr. and Mrs. Claus are taking time out of their busy schedule to make an appearance. They will be taking the time to spread holiday cheer and listen to the children’s Christmas wishes.

As part of admission, Origins Kitchen will be serving a special breakfast buffet featuring locally sourced ingredients. For children, there’s a Christmas workshop—sponsored by Northern Routes—where they can create unique ornaments, decorate cookies, and enjoy fun activities in the museum galleries.

“We are proud to support this fun family holiday event. It’s activities like these that make our community great,” said Colin Carson, CEO of Tourism Prince George. “The Exploration Place showcases our history and local culture and provides incredible attractions that draw in visitors to Prince George. We are happy to contribute and help make this event a huge success.”

Tickets for the event are $49.95 + GST, children can attend for free with a paid adult. Admission includes a breakfast buffet, access to children’s activities, and daily admission to The Exploration Place. The museum will be open to the public at 11:00 a.m., after the event.
